Are we to believe they only have 10 contracted providers doing DSM-IV ssessments, Impairment Assessments and Peer reviews etc for the whole country?
ReplyDeleteAlso, what is a 'payout? Does that refer to Counselling, IA, Weekly Comp or what? The amount paid to the Independant Contracted Providers seems to be a lot more than the claimants in each one month! What a suprise!! I love how the contracted providers charge out for like 6-10 hours for their 1 hour assessment due to all their background reading etc! They are employed as experts so they can't charge ACC for them to do background reserach, they are meant to keeping up-to-date in their own time as part of their professioanl development. What a joke! Takes an hour to read the file and 1/2 hour to dicate the assessment for their PA to type up. Bet the PA doesn't get paid her share of the dosh? LOL
I love how Nick Smith (who is a public servant, after all) makes it really hard for anyone to get the information that is obviously being asked for. He says, "Refer to this answer", "refer to that answer", "refer to this document" and even "There are better ways to ask that question"! His job is to provide an answer, not to faff around and waste time and piss people off. He is being petty and vindictive towards Lynne Pillay and those whom she represents (us!) and is proving himself to be nothing but heartless and arrogant.
ReplyDeleteWhen Smith is old and smelly and can do nothing but lie in bed and look at the ceiling while someone changes his nappy, I hope he isn't too disturbed by the thought that he could have done the right thing when he had the chance. One day when he is vulnerable and needs those in power to care about his needs, I hope he will understand how cowardly he has been.
