1155 (2012). Chris Hipkins to the Associate Minister for ACC: Has he ever included or identified information held at his or his officials’ private email account when responding to an Official Information Act request?
Hon Craig Foss (Associate Minister for ACC) replied: My office has dealt with many Official Information Act requests across my portfolios since I became a Minister. I do not consider it to be a good use of resources to have staff look through a large amount of information to determine whether any information included a private email account. I am advised that all relevant information, within the scope of each request, is identified and considered in accordance with the provisions of the Act when responding to each request. This would include any information held at a private email account.

Chris Hipkins to the Associate Minister for ACC: Is he confident that all Official Information Act responses he has sent include or identify all information within the scope of each request, including any information that may be held on his or his officials’ personal email accounts; if not, does he or his office intend to review all Official Information Act requests to ensure that the response given was accurate?
